I am in my mid-50’s and originally from Western Pennsylvania. My background is blue collar. I have lived in North Carolina since 2003. I’m married and have a son and two step-children.  My formal education includes: Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Master of Arts in Industrial and Labor Relations (Mediation and Dispute Resolution) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from East Carolina University

These educational experiences have been spread out over a twenty-five year period and have combined to give me a solid background in how people interact, how to resolve disputes, and how to assist individuals, couples, and families deal with their challenges. Each degree has complimented and enhanced the other. From my education, I have a large “tool box” full of helpful techniques, knowledge, and approaches to use in a large variety of situations.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, North Carolina License Number 1388.

I am also a trained PREPARE/ENRICH marriage counseling facilitator, and I enjoy using this program to assist couples either preparing for marriage or couples who wish to enrich their marriages.

And, I work as a contract mediator serving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States Postal Service and other government agencies, as well as assisting in mediations between private parties and individuals, family mediations, and divorce mediations.
